The Commodore was fortunate to avoid any serious damage or disruption due to the magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Christchurch. 

The hotel continues to operate, however during next five days while Christchurch's begins to rebuild we would appreciate all non-essential bookings be deferred to a later date.
