Our reservations manager of six years is off to Fiji and we are looking for a highly organised, energetic multitasking wizard to join our front office team as reservations manager.
Located prominently on Memorial Ave and only minutes from Christchurch Airport, the Copthorne Hotel Commodore is a Christchurch Hospitality institution. Suffering no structural damage in any of the Canterbury Earthquakes the family owned and operated Commodore has been welcoming guests every day for 40 years this Christmas.
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of two years experience in a hotel front office role, preferably in a supervisory capacity, exceptional yield management skills, an impeccable phone manner, the ability to perform under pressure and you will appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the hotel and our special group of guests. You will be competent with Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite of software.
You will be responsible for maximising our occupancy and yield and ensuring that our guests are sold the right room, at the right price.
Full training in the hotels style, systems and service expectations will be given to the successful candidate.
This position reports to the Rooms Manager and is based on a forty hour week, flexibility of working hours is required and some weekend shifts will be required.
